Adult and Family Dinghy Lessons
Adults, and Parents with youth 10 years of age or older, are invited to enroll in the SYC Sail Training Adult & Family Evening Programs. Youth (<19) enrolling in the program must sail with a parent.
Whether you are looking to formalize your sailing experiences, start from scratch, or just want to learn more, our instructors will be ready to teach you all the skills necessary to build confidence, or broaden your existing skills. Sailing is a sport to be enjoyed with others!
Register early, as class sizes are limited.
Evening Lessons
Our evening Adult & Family programs are offered in our Vibe & larger Omega dinghies. We have 8 Vibes accommodating 2 adults (or one adult & two youth) per boat, and 2 Omegas accommodating up to three adults per boat. The Omegas are recommended for larger individuals and those with agility concerns. With two adults per Vibe, the Vibe maximizes helming time.
The previously offered Adult Keelboat lessons have been discontinued with the purchase of the two 15.5 foot Omega boats dinghies.
All levels of sailing are welcome whether you are sailing for the first time or wanting to improve your current skills. Evening classes run from 6pm-9pm, twice weekly, Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. There are two 4-week sessions (8 lessons per session).
Note, SYC offers a special couples rates for adult sailing lessons.
